Another successful Chili Cook Off January 8th, 2013 at the Hidden Valley Ranch club house. Twelve entries with various types of chili were entered. Approximately 100 people were the judges. Each was given a small sample, into a numbered cup, of each entry. They then voted by dropping a bean into the numbered cup that they liked. The entries were: Red River Delight – Glen Stearns Souper-Man-Chili – Darlene Roberts Tavern Chili – Judy Lungo

30 residents of Hidden Valley Ranch toured the Basilica in San Juan December 28th 2012. The Basilica was all decorated for Christmas. Our guide was Sister Mary, who is a nun for 50 years. Hidden Valley residents toured the sancutary, memory room and the candle room. Later they toured the gift shop and then some of the residents had lunch at the cafeteria.

Several residents and their guests enjoyed a great dinner and fellowship at the rec hall Christmas day.
