Christmas Angels

It is time, once again, to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Please consider taking an angel from the tree and fulfilling the needs of a child, as stated on the angel. When you take an angel from the tree, please – please make sure that ALL the items on the angel are purchased for the child. (Adding a toy is a great idea – every child needs a toy for Christmas!) REMEMBER – the angel is the gift tag!

If you feel that the cost will be too much for you, ask a neighbor or friend to join you in purchasing the items. Last year, there were three little boys who almost missed Christmas – – their names were taken from the tree, but no gifts were received for them!

Again this year, the plan is to assemble the gifts, no later than Tuesday, December 16th at the homes of Bob and Karen Steinmetz, 2201 West Bogey Drive or Dick and Grace Harris, 2117 West Bogey Drive; deliver the gifts to the Flores Elementary School on Thursday, December 18th at 1:30 pm.; and present the gifts to the children in the school cafeteria.

Everyone is invited to participate at the school. Carpooling is highly recommended as parking at the school is very limited. It is suggested that carpoolers assemble at the clubhouse by 1:10 pm. and follow the drivers that will be hauling the gifts to the school.
