Several of Hidden Valley Ranch residents  also toured the Coast Guard station located on South Padre Island.  A member of the Coast Guard explained their operation.

Sixty plus residents from Hidden Valley Ranch carpooled to Pier 19 in South Padre Island to board the Osprey boat to sail 17 miles to the Port of Brownsville.  While on way to the port we seen several dolphins and enjoyed salsa and chips. The Valentine Day’s Dinner Theater  was a huge success.  First everyone was served a delicious lasagna dinner.  Then everyone was treated with the dinner theater. 37 Hidden Valley Residents enjoyed the tour of the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen. The academy is a college prep high school. It is a private school, no public funds are used. There are approximately 250 boys in grades 8 – 12. First year tuition is about $36,000. All the boys are in full military uniform. Cellphones, inter-net among other things are not allowed on campus. Chili some HOT HOT HOT and some mild was judged by three highly qualified judges. That is according to what the judges said were there qualifications. Check the pictures and you will find who the highly qualified judges were. A large crowd turned out for the chili.
