HVR News Letter Editor: Creative Sewing Class at HVR

The Creative Sewing class has several exciting projects this season. The class participants work on the same projects, learn new techniques and have fun together. All projects are made using your sewing machine. There is no charge for the class however participants are responsible for their own supplies (fabric, etc.) Some equipment and tools are available for general use and many are shared. However participants are asked to bring whatever tools and equipment of their own that they can. This season will begin with a miniature Christmas wall hanging and is created using a technique called paper-piecing. This is a one day project so bring your supplies on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 9:30am. Setup between 9 and 9:30am.
Many of this season’s projects are pieced tops for quilting. Techniques that you will learn in the class include strip piecing, sewing curves, prairie points and Stack N Whack. Projects for this season include fabric bowls, Drunkard’s Path pattern and One Block Wonder (Stack N Whack).
