Padre Island to Port of Brownsville

Sixty plus residents from Hidden Valley Ranch carpooled to Pier 19 in South Padre Island to board the Osprey boat to sail 17 miles to the Port of Brownsville.  While on way to the port we seen several dolphins and enjoyed salsa and chips.

Some of people on board enjoyed one dollar margarita’s.

When we got to the Port of Brownsville we anchored at Texas Gulf Trawling LLC,  a family run company since 1950.  We were treated to Texas Gold shrimp.  From there we sailed into the Port of Brownsville and seen Navy ships being cut apart for scrap.  Also we seen an oil drilling platform similar to the one that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. Then we returned to Padre Island and were treated to a choice of shrimp, fish or chicken dinner.
